On the 23^rd of July 2014 the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) announced the winners of its 2014 spirits competition held in London (UK). It is the 45^th time the annual competition was conducted. This event gives the perfect opportunity for producers to show their best alcoholic drinks. Brandy and cognac, whisky, vodka, gin and wines from around the world were rigorously judged at the blind tasting. The jury panel comprised the world’s leading drinks experts. The Tiraspol Winery & Distillery presented for tasting divins “KVINT” 8 y.o. and “KVINT” 20 y.o., which according to the results of the competition were awarded with silver medals.

On the 11^th of June, 2014, a master-class dedicated to wine and winemaking was held at the Tiraspol Winery & Distillery “KVINT”. New trends in the world of winemaking, the technological peculiarities and the latest achievements of “KVINT” – these subjects were covered by the outstanding winemaker, oenologist and sommelier, partner of the Italian company “Enofly”, Mr. Pier Giorgio Berta, in front of the guests of our enterprise, the representatives of restaurant business, sommeliers and bartenders.
– “Enofly” company works with “KVINT” for 3 years, and our cooperation is growing from year to year, – said Mr. Berta in his speech. Many significant changes took place at “KVINT” during this period: the area of our vineyards increased, the company bought new top-grade equipment and introduced new technologies. All this helps to implement bold ideas of our talented winemakers. Consulting by the Italian specialists gives the possibility to introduce new technologies in a timely manner and to produce the drinks that keep abreast with the latest world trends. This is how we created light, aromatic and easy-drinking wines: a series of blended wines “Solaricco”, “Traminer” and “Traminer Rosé”. These and some other wines of “KVINT” Winery were offered for tasting, which was conducted with great skill and inspiration by the Italian oenologist.
