Over a thousand sparkling wines from 29 countries were presented at the CONCOURS MONDIAL DE BRUXELLES 2025 – Sparkling Wines Session, which this year was held in the Republic of Moldova (Chisinau) from September 5-7. The Tiraspol Winery & Distillery KVINT participated in the tasting competition with two wines:
- quality sparkling white Viognier Brut KVINTESSENCE – Silver medal;
- quality sparkling white Viorica Brut Natur KVINTESSENCE – Silver medal.
Only 7 of the awarded Moldovan wines were produced using the méthode classique, like our KVINTESSENCE sparkling series. International experts also noted that Viorica was the most common grape variety in the winning wines.
Tasting notes on Viognier Brut KVINTESSENCE: “This elegant wine reveals a delicate floral nose, punctuated by fresh grapefruit notes. On the palate, its elegant minerality and fresh acidity create a harmonious balance. The fine bubbles and a refined texture”.
Tasting notes on Viognier Brut KVINTESSENCE: “The fresh nose reveals aromas of apple, pear and grape, complemented by notes of nettle, fruit peel and citrus fruit. The pleasant palate reveals an elegant, fine wine, carried by a lovely freshness and harmonious acidity that structures the whole”.
