On the 25^th of August 2015 the company “KVINT” bottled the most anticipated wine of the year – “Icewine”! For several years the wine-makers of the factory waited for the appropriate weather to collect frozen grape berries and extract precious fragrant juice from them.
“Icewine” is a noble sweet wine produced from grapes of the variety Riesling (vintage 2014) hand-picked at dawn in the first autumn frost. This wine gladdens the eyes of the connoisseurs with nice sunny color. “Icewine” impresses with stunning inimitable bouquet of complex fruit nectar with notes of ripe mango, passionfruit, Japanese quince and white cherry. It strikes with balance of honey sweetness and harmonious acidity on the palate, it has long and memorable aftertaste.
The unique wine is a limited edition of only 2300 bottles.

The Tiraspol Winery & Distillery “KVINT” is going to bottle long-expected “Icewine” next week!
Dessert wine “Icewine” is made from the selected grapes of the variety Riesling, which were hand-picked at dawn in the first autumn frost. Frost should be not less than -8°C. Unlike water, sugar and other substances in the berries do not freeze; this allows squeezing concentrated juice from the frozen grapes. It results in getting small amount of rich, very fragrant and sweet wine.
The production process is hard and risky, and yield of ready product is extremely low, which is reflected in the price of “Icewine”.
“Icewine” will be available in bottles of smaller volume – 375 ml. Up to 16 kg of grapes can be used in preparation of 1 bottle of such wine.

On the 18^th of August 2015 the Tiraspol Winery & Distillery “KVINT” bottled new wines: “Viognier” and “Riesling. Late harvest”. These are the unique white wines prepared by the winemakers of “KVINT” from the selected grapes of the vintage year 2014.
“Viognier” is a rare and rather capricious French grape variety, which gives aroma of fruit cocktail with bright notes of apricot, peach, pear, as well as fruity nuances of honey acacia.
Wine “Riesling. Late harvest” was created from the grapes, caressed by sun-beams during hot summer and long warm autumn, which were hand-picked at the threshold of winter. This exquisite wine with aroma of ripe fruit is produced as a limited edition of 3000 bottles.

On the 11^th of August 2015 the harvesting season started at the vineyards of the Tiraspol Winery & Distillery “KVINT” in the village of Doybany. From early morning the agricultural machinery is working in the fields, collecting fragrant sunny berries and immediately delivering them to processing facilities.
